Nav System

I have a 2011 C220 but the maps are out of date and its not picking up any of my contacts or call lists from my phone.
Any advice?

Map updates are available from MB, or via specialists such as COMAND on Line. (Pin code, disc and £200ish needed)

With regards your phone, can you make a call via BT at least?

There is a firmware update that enables BT music streaming and full 7digit postcode (assuming you have COMAND) nav which may help on the contacts, but I must admit I have sorted out importing contacts on my (new to me) 12 plate MB. Something about the format of the contact file......

I had been meaning to ask on here, so hopefully someone will chip in shortly

Hello and welcome Carolyn.
Two separate problems;
Sat nav updates are specific to your ‘version’ of sat nav - updates are readily available, but often expensive!
The phone issue is different. What phone is it?
A good starting point (assuming the car is new to you) would be to delete all existing phones stored in the memory of the car and your phones connection to the car on the phone and start from a fresh, new install.
Knowing which model of phone you have will (hopefully!) generate some specific advice here.

A 2011 W204 with COMAND won't pick up call lists from the phone and you have to program the contacts into the system one by one.

I take it you have the fold out screen in the dash???

To update you just need the disks which is these

Thanks for the responses. I have had my MB for 3 Year’s and previously had no problem with getting contacts on the handsfree system. It’s an iPhone 6 that I have. It is the second one I’ve had and the first one shared the contacts with no problem. The sat nav is built in and not fold out.

OK, You need the disks and code for version NTG4.5, will probably need a firmware update as well.

It may be worth asking your local dealer as they have been doing deals on Nav updates for £99

If your screen is fixed and you have Comand then it must be NTg 4.5 which certainly should download the contacts. Make sure the contacts are in the phone memory not the SIM.

Hi. Find out if the command from yours is the same with w211 2004. I have a copy 2016 europe map(dvd)

C and E class NTG4 updates are different, with part numbers starting 204 and 212. Not sure about NTG4.5, but first port of call should be comandonline.co.uk. Beware websites offering non-genuine DVD's, they have been known to turn Comand into a useless brick - not sure if that applies to NTG4.5 as with that system a PIN is required from MB mainframe in Germany.
