awesome Severnless but let's see how it goes with Ken first, I don't want to jump from one person's kind offer to the next unless it makes sense for all involved, thanks again both of you

Hi anyweb
I could collect for you and store in my workshop/shed
I have a e320 estate so collecting shouldn’t be a problem, it’s used as a workhorse anyway.
Had a Vetus M218 marine engine init this week for a couple of days
I live in Halesowen so not to far away from seller
Let me know if I can help

About the same distance as me. I've been exchanging PM's with the OP but what I'm struggling with is the storage space. As you have storage then you might be a better option. If you needed help in loading then I could meet you.

I thought I'd replied. It makes sense to me as I am struggling with storage space. It sounds like we are about the same distance so if help was needed in loading, I could assist at the seller's address.

Can we have a post code please?

Please. Although, as stated, I don't mind helping with the loading. I can possibly also get hold of a pallet. Additionally, I have a surplus large plastic box for the smaller parts.

Good stuff. I think the cost will be prohibitive with Shiply etc.
It's unlikely that anyone visiting Sweden for hols would have the boot space.
Anyweb, do you visit the UK, as that might be the easiest option?
I'd store it all for you but I'm 100 miles away.

this looks like a mistake for me then, i don't visit the uk ever, not for the last 30 years or something... I did consider coming for Television's event but couldn't make it

surely there must be a cheap way of shipping some old crap to sweden ?

or if it's too expensive, i'll give you the 60 quid and you can have the bits (if you want them) then i'll just loose another 60.... (i've lost so much already it's painful.)

Try palletline for a price, base it on a half pallet, and the weight? Shouldn’t be too much ££

I may be able to ship it to SW France if that's any help? Or perhaps meet up at Calais? It's unlikely I'd bring it all in one go though.
If I bring it to SW France you can collect at your leisure as I have plenty of barn space.

I'd advise that a new thread is needed here ... UK to Sweden.
That may work better, as the UK bit is easy.

I'm on a tiny forum relatively speaking. We usually manage to get parts moved, FOC, all over the UK.

Well to me it looks like you’ve got your engine! Just need to do a bit of organising, so as in the pm let me know the address, date and time to collect it then we can organise to get it to you at your leisure.
I’m sure We can get it to lost kiwi if you decide to take his offer up? Or anything else for that matter!

Glad it got sorted, and my back is safe! ha-ha :)

If you need an escort, while transporting the illustrious engine - I can fit amber flashing lights on my little car ;)

People's generosity on this forum never ceases to amaze... I couldn't help with heavy lifting and have no storage space at present but I'm very pleased that it's being worked out. And one day I'll be looking at pics of Anyweb's fully restored

i've paid the guy and pm'd Servernless with the details, thanks again dude I appreciate it, I still need to figure out the next stage, i.e. getting it from UK to Sweden without costing me an arm and a leg because at this point, i've very little left and i still need to pay for the engine work on my mb180db...

As I said in one of the PM's. Try removal firms. UK to Sweden or Sweden to UK. You're only looking for a corner space in an already loaded vehicle.
