I had my first night drive last night and even coming from a SLK 350 with ILS, the lights on this car are stunning. The headlights automatically adjust to speed, location and traffic. I was really impressed with how good the lights are. I live in the countryside and even had a rabbit in the headlights :)

Also I'm not sure if I'm correct but because they are LED, there does not seem to be that many dead bugs on the front and there was not the usual stream of beasties flying toward the headlights, considering that it was a warm day/evening here.

Not too sure if the tales about LED and insects is correct - I recall camping in a very remote part of Australia (Palm valley in the middle of the outback) and being besieged by the most insects I've ever seen (an some of the biggest) and all our lighting was LED - but it may have been the colour temperature of the lights.

You just weren't driving fast enough. :p
Agreed- my last drive to Edinburgh/back saw my Obsidian black front end take on a rather lumpy texture with a multitude of red specks throughout- lovely...I suspect i was going fast enough!

I picked up my new car on Saturday, after driving it all weekend, moving the old W204 Sunday night felt like I was in a Hummer H2.

Power steering? Who needs it?

Less is More lol

Nice SL in white - prettier than the house! Almost bought one as well, but for the same money got an S350 which also suited my needs for the next few years a bit better, but was so close to getting the SL400.

Nice looking car in white, I had a view of a new SL400 in NZ last week $232,000 and it was mine, then I had to add on road cost
Cheaper to buy in the UK ;)

Assolutely bootiful.
- I noted your speed/LED/bugs comment... when you have a gorgeous new car unless you're testing out the speed you probably end up sitting back and enjoying everything (I would, anyway). A little jealous but glad it ticks all the boxes!

Not for proper cars, but new everyday cars are very affordable now, got a mate who is Mitsubishi Dealer and he has some good deals.
