All I will say is good luck with it,very nice car. Re running in, a drive down the motorway is always a good thing, other than that keep it running light.

You can follow the manufactures guidlines I'm sure there will be something in the handbook. However there is a school of thought that Hire cars are the best run in vehicles as they have many different drivers with differing driving styles. Don't labour the engine and when it's warmed up use the revs, decent fuel won't go amiss either. Enjoy

Thats amazing! Im also picking up a new to me C220 CDI tomorrow morning. Its my first merc. and I'm selling (practically giving ) my Golf TDI to my son Its 7 years old with 85k on the clock and has been very reliable. Hope the merc gives similar service. Dont expect we will get the same MPG though.

Welcome to the forum, and you to enjoy your new toy, the MPG is pretty good.

Thanks already enjoying the reads!

Its a mixture of serious and fun at times, I do promise you that you will learn much about the joys of owning and driving an MB, nothing else like it out there.

DONT treat it lightly as you would a petrol car but then again dont thrash but do drive moderatly hard or you will glaze the bores of the pistons

!
Please excuse me from saying this but you should not leave the car at idle for 20 mins, its not good for the engine, as it is an un natural state or condition and does not bear any resemblance to being driven.

Hello White Van man! Our car was 2nd hand so dident have a great choice in colours. The car is a very dark metallic blue, almost black . (dont know the official colours name.) I need to find out from the agents I intended to buy a touch up pencil or pehaps being a Merc. I dont not need one?
So far very impressed with the car but I'm up till 2am every night reading the hand book and I'm only on the first chapter!
