Newbie auto question

When I park up should I be using the foot parking brake, or can I rely on the auto P setting? It does rock slight when just using P.

No harm in using both. Keeps the mechanism for the foot operated one in working order as well.

Always use the Park brake, if you are on a steep hill failing to do so will put pressure on the transmission, also if you apply the brake before P it will stop the clonking you hear...

Yes i always use the parking brake too. As said previously, saves strain on transmission and keeps it in working order. No brainer as far as I'm concerned.
