Hi all, my name is Dave and all being well I'll be taking delivery of the new-to-me CLS 320cdi.

I do my own spannering and have owned an MB 190e in the past. More recently Landies and a couple of Jags.

Can't wait to get the CLS and drive it home - about 1000 mls !!

Cheers
Dave

The E Class platform is a peach, I'd love a CLS.

Same engine as me as well buddy :D
That's interesting Wighty so assuming I drive like an old fart, what do you reckon I should expect in terms of fuel consumption.

The vehicle I'm expecting to own is a CLS 320 cdi of 2007 vintage; a 1 owner from new with full MB history.

Cheers
Dave

Welcome Dave, I’m not going to practice my awful French on you don’t worry-! CLS is a lovely machine and ideal for munching up the miles in style and comfort

Your car will be slightly heavier I should think , and mine has no DPF (not sure if this will matter) . My car mainly does longish runs with no stop start commuting , normally A road and M/way and I will probably get about 40-42 mpg on average . On a slow m/way run I might get 46mpg .

Anything over 40 and I'll be happy.

By the way "Wighty" - anything to do with an Island?

Btw a bit more - I like your signature - I suspect there will be many on the Triumph forum would say the same about me :rolleyes:o_O

Funny buddy , no Wighty is my nickname from a not too dissimilar surname . My user pic is actual likeness (well maybe not quite as yellow) . I am currently on the island of Anglesey for a few days though .
