Everytime I brake on go over uneven surface there is a noise ("Kat - Tak - Kat - Tak)"coming from ? the brakes.

I have had this for over a year and at the last service at my local garage (not mercedes) they told me everything was OK.

I am pretty sure it's not the suspension as I depress the brakes slightly there is no noise

Any ideas?

Sounds like a pad rubbing or something caught on the caliper

I thought more drop link or strut. The struts on these are prone to rattles over bumps I seem to recall. If I'm right a new strut will be required.

I thought this was something which had been sorted from the 203 but I could be quite wrong A
