my air-matic suspension warning light came on and although car was still sitting at reasonable height the suspension buttons for raising and lowering wouldn't work.....diagnostic using Carsoft MB2 showed pressure release valve issue and so i rolled front passenger tyre out of way and repaired the broken electrical wires feeding the pressure with......
the car pumped up and three of the four corners are higher than i have ever seen them and one corner is about the right height....non of the buttons work and the red light ..Car too low...is on dash....driving me nuts...what to do next?

Get it on Star to have the level sensors reset. £60 at your local friendly MB indy.

with the Carsoft MB 2 diagnostics I can read the height of each corner real time but don't know how to go about re setting or changing the height setting. is there a manual way of resetting heights on the aromatic system

The height settings are all done from the sensors unless you have aftermarket adjustable links. No manual adjustmnt that I know of.
Looks like you need Star to do this along with a knowledgeable operator.

I've removed the mud wheel arch cover and discover large diameter hose hanging freely next to airmatic....Maybe 10 mm diameter......The hose has what looks like a large filter in line...I've looked and felt with my hand for anything it might attach to but can't see anything......Any help would be great ..thankyou

The black plastic filter housing half covers the filter and has a directional arrow on it

You really need to get the car to an Indy, before you do something that knacks the suspension up... it sounds like you have discovered some previously unknown issues.

Hi,
From your description and from changing that the Airmatic pump on my CLS 55, it doesn't connect anywhere and is the main air inlet for the airmatic pump, and is normally secured.

So find myself in familiar position for some with this aromatic system...front driver side higher than i thought possible.....the compressor will run when i first turn the car on but then stops after a minute and the red car "too low" sign appears.......Im getting the following errors through my MB 11 diagnostics ..Just really need to to know how to test these components if even possible ? Otherwise just start trowing parts at it which isn't clever..

B24)/4.............(right front body acceleration sensor );signal failure

B7 ...................(Airmatic pressure sensor): signal failure

Y52/1...............(airmatic valve unit. right front suspension strut) .Y52/1 (level valve );open circuit

A9/1Y1.............(airmatic pressure release valve)...open circuit

Also says ...Critical vehicle level at front axel and suspension strut is I'nplausible

Can not believe all these components failed at same time
Any help would be great....obiously something has affected all these components together I'm guessing..
How can i check relay ..but then again if compressor starts when i start car I'm thinking the relay works if its simply a switch on off for compressor?

Hi Matt, Check your volts, if its below 12v at all(apart from engine cranking) then I would start looking to see if there is a cell down in your battery. If the battery is over 5 years replace it & do a rest on your machine.

Got it into I die and was a sticking ride height sensor ...I ordered a new one but is this plug and play or do I need star to reset or is there another cheaper diagnostic tool that I can use to reset it?

The ride height sensor should not need coding. However, your strut travel sensors may all need resetting to zero- mine certainly did, and in fact may need doing again.

ok so I have Icarsoft MB2 but this only reads values and allows me to clear codes
What can i use to reset suspension after i replace the faulty offside sensor that is being flagged up . Can i use delphi 150e or anything similar...dont really want to work out how to use star or pay the associated cost for the software if possible?
