oil sensor defective

Dashboard states oil sensor defective,however oil level ok and pressure reading ok,is this cause for concern?E320 estate petrol1997.:confused:

Nothing to worry about if the engine is not using oil, it is an easy thing to change some time, I can pass on details if you wish
