Opal Fire Red

Well had an issue with the paint, but had read on here about it being a huge problem with Mercedes Opal Fire Red. So took it to Mercedes Sunderland today and been told they will do a full respray. Well impressed, got to wait a few months to get it booked in but at least they are going to do it free of charge. Result.

I have a love of Red and Black cars, had many over the years, but think the Coupe looks better in red than black, just my opinion. Still love black just a bugger to keep polished.

Same here, and it nearly always turns out Black !!

I have 3 Mercedes and. Smart (sort of Mercedes) and they're all silver! I wanted a dark metallic blue 129 but there weren't any.

I've not had a silver Mercedes yet and it would have to be a very special one for me to pick silver. My 911 was silver although that was special option ££££ GT Silver that was many different colours in different light. I could have had a Daytona yellow 911 but they stand out a bit too much and the resale value is reduced because of the colour (although I expect that very much depends on if you're buying or selling...)

Very nice, although Tanzanite Blue with Orion Grey Nappa leather is even better, although I might be biased on that for some strange reason...

Looks like i'll have to get mine checked out at Sunderland as there are one or two issues with pitting on the boot lid. Stuck in Ireland at the mo with work so will be next week. I'll let you know how I got on.

When I had my W204 in fire opal, that’s exactly where the problem began to show itself (Boot lid)
