Over Keen ABS

I have a slight problem(I hope) with my ABS. 1989 190E Auto. They sometimes come on when I am almost at stopping speed. I know the wheels are in no danger of skidding as I am almost at a standstill when it happens. Has anyone got any ideas. Thanks, Warren.

1. have you fitted cheap pads to this vehicle?  some makes (Jurid I know are guilty) make the pads 1mm too narrow, this can cause the pad to shift in the caliper and the abs to trigger

2. otherwise try cleaning the abs hubs
