P0244 Code

The car would randomly go into limp home mode and not accelarate, no EML light would come on and the fault would disapear if you let it sit for 10 -15 mins. The other day however it decided to go to limp home and put on the EML light, got isoft 980 out and it had stored P0244 turbo waste gate.
So I have removed the acctuator and checked the rod still moves on the back of the turbo, I have ordered a replacement part from turbovanes in birmingham.
In looking into other forum reports the swirl flap drive seems to be linked with this fault also, do the collective think it would be ok to do a bypass modification on the swirl flap motor (using a properly modified plug, not just a resistor and tape) at the same time as replacing the acctuator?

Ok to elaberate on this, got the replacement acctuator and fitted, cleared the codes and took it for a run for half an hour and we are all good and getting full boost again.
BUT. The next day after driving a short distance EML light back on and wont rev above 3000, put the scanner back on and now getting P0638, P2009, P0489 and P0243 codes so throttle acctuator, intake manifold, EGR and waste gate faults. I have checked the fuses in the under bonnet fuse box I can see the acctuator not moving when starting the car or pressing the throttle.
Any suggestions? This is really doing my head in

are you sure the fuse is OK,

I had it getting continuity twice when it was popped (no idea how), as you already eluded to you could try the swirl flap fix to help with your diagnosis. the swirl flap motor dies (std feature - 10 hours to fit new don't bother) just disconnect and put a 10 pence metal film resistor 0.6w 4.7k ohm on the swirl flap motor plug, Pins 2 and 3 (centre two of 4 pins) connecting red/green wire and the grey wire... the car will work and drive normally, wasting 50 quid for a posh bit of plastic and the same (or worse an inferior) resistor, is totally over the top.

I didn't look up the codes, but the EGR dying is also normal (this can have a resistor fix to)

on a W211 E280 CDI in the front SAM, it doesn't say what it does... but it does all this

F44 15A Inlet port shut off, Wastegate actuator, EGR valve and the Exhaust back pressure sensor

some other stuff I've done on my father's v6 diesel

Got home and checked that fuse and it had no continuity it had a hairline crack. Replaced fuse cleared codes and the car is now a psychopath. Noticeably less engine braking with swirl flaps bypassed.
Cheers for the info

yes the car drives better with them left open, much nicer,

I think it does miss out at say 1.5 k rpm but then at 2k the rear wheels nearly light up which more than compensates and yes the disgusting engine braking that ruins the way the car flows down the road is eradicated
