Parking Brake Retun Spring

Hi Anyone know if its an easy job to replace the parking brake return spring on a c220 cdi man ?

Wow You got me malcolm it's a 54 plate thinking of buying it and the guy selling said this is the only thing that needs done ? went on him a few days ago.

I doubt it is the spring that is the problem.

Ajdust the cables under the rear seat.

I can only go on what the Guy is saying , he said it dont return after its been released
so you think it just might need just adjusting? ill have a word with him

Parking brake non-return

I had a similar problem - adjusted cable mechanism under rear seat but still no go. I then checked the assembly for the pedal - the end of the drum spring had jumped out of its slot and lodged in the pull cable return spring hole. Freed this and all was well, cheers, Chip
