I'd like to interface my current BT phone (Orange SPVM600) with the stereo in my E320C. I cannot see a way of doing this that retains the OEM head unit though.

Any ideas?

normally - most after market BT kits will interface with a stereo - either directly, or if that's not possible, by intercepting the speaker outputs via an interface box. So, I don't see why this would be a problem.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I'll try to source a unit as you describe.

what you are looking for is a "mute lead".
I don't think the stereo in a 94 320 was OEM. AFAIK MB didn't start fitting stereos at the factory until 98 ish with the Audio 10. Prior to that, it was generally fitted by the dealer, commonly Blaupunct or Sony (as in my '95 C220).
In any case, there should be a generic mute lead kit available, if not one for your specific make of stereo.
Try these guys

I assume you are looking at a bluetooth kit such as something from Parrott or Nokia? (e.g. Nokia CK7W)
