I have a 2004 W203. Just recently the drivers door lock has started to pogo when locking. Most of the time it locks but has several goes before it's happy. Sometimes it leaves my beloved car unlocked.

My local garage has reported 3 fault codes B1503 B1504 B1505

Mercedes say the door locking mechanism is tied into the car with a code in some way and that only they can do the repair. Is this right?

Locks Ok if I hold the handle out??

Welcome to the forum, it was wrong for MB to say that only they could fix the fault, any indie or you may be able to fix it yourself, we have had this fault before, and I will try and do a search for the cure later

Thank you, I have tried the fix on the other thread of removing the door button and spraying wd40 down. Hasn't worked.

Is the lock programmed to the car in any way, or was MB telling fibs to get the work?

Put it this way, MB were not telling the truth, they tried to cheat you into to using them

Nice:mad:

Does anyone know if the fault codes are to do with the door lock?

All cars throw up fault codes from time to time and if everything is working they can be ignored for the best part

So do I just get my garage to order and change the electric door lock then? Anyone got a part number?

The link you gave me is the same fault but the OP never came back to say the fault has been retified. 1 banned guy mentioned that they change a couple a week (but who is he?).

Just tried the other link (slightly different method) using Holts pro-lube silicone/ptfe lubricant. Still no joy. Guess I must have a different problem.
