I would be VERY grateful if anyone can offer any help with regards to a post-2008 conversion on a 2003 SL55 I am in the middle of.
All the body parts have been ordered (full Black Series kit arrives next week!), however I have been told that the kit needs the following parts to work:
- Post-2008 tail lights - ORDERED!
- Black series front grill - ORDERED! (and expensive!)
- Post-2008 headlights
The problem is that there are a variety of types of headlight and the parts manager at the Merc dealer I use keeps telling me that the post-2008 lights will not fit a 2003 car.
Now, I know this can be done as I have seen a handful of post-2008 conversions.
My big questions is - does anybody know anyone who has done this who could advise on which headlights to order and how on earth you wire them up correctly?
