Hi I'm wondering if anyone could help me out. I have a class 320cdi v6 2006 yesterday on my way to work stopped for some fuel filled up then went on my way the car seemed fine but as I went to accelerate the car lacked in power then seemed to going into limp mode after I switched the car off and on again the car came back to normal but shortly after went back into limp mode then the engine management light came on had it plugged in and came back with (p2510 right charge pressure posit (y100/1) does anyone know what this could be or had the same problem? Thanks in advance

easy , whip the engine cover off , reach in and turn the ignition on and watch / listen for the area near the turbo , if the wastegate is working , it will flick on and off as you turn the key , if not , its fubard

Hi Tom1, I'm pretty sure my car is the same as yours even the fault. When mine was 'plugged in' it showed the same fault code which, after a little investigation, it looked like the turbo actuator had failed. The actuator was disconnected from the turbo linkage and the arm, on the turbo, lifted and fell about 1/2" to3/4" which apparently shows that the turbo blades are changing pitch ok. When the ignition is switched on there is no movement from the arm (or crank) on the actuator so I'm presently searching for a G 219 actuator and keeping my fingers crossed!

Hope this helps or confirms?

Good news! It's fixed. £100 later for a 'recon' actuator and it's back to normal, only problem is the engine management light still on, will it req plugging in or will it sort itself out? Tom1, I hope you get sorted with as little trouble.

Glad you got yours fixed think the engine management light will need wiping off now.

Hi Tom1 well I drove mine to my friendly ‘plugging in man’ by the time I got there the light had gone out, happy days, job complete!
I don’t think mine ever went into limp mode, rather it just didn’t have enough power to work as usual. Is it possible yours hasn’t quite died yet but is in the process of dying, I.e. working sometimes but then quitting before deciding to work normally for a few more minutes? Which part of our green and pleasant land are you in?

Ahh that's good then. It seems to be when the car has got up to temperature it limits it's self I can still hear the turbo and the waste gate seems to be making a louder noise

if you can hear the wastegate more than usual its probably because the actuator is stuck open a bit , these things either fail with the gearing OR the electronics that control the arm , you will need to clear the codes after fitting a new unit

Sorry it posted it itself. I think it’s the same problem as you have and you know what I had to do.

That’s a easy fix, if you’re handy with a soldering iron.
