Hello everyone,

This is my first thread here, I have C class 2009, W204
So here is my problem:
So I was inside the car trying to unlock my driver's door using the central locking keys, but it wouldn't unlock.
Then I tried opening it using the interior door handle, so it got unlocked, but the interior door handle won't go back in place, and the door wouldn't open. I had to open the window then open the door using the outside door handle. while the interior handle got stuck in the outward direction where I pulled it and won't totally go back in place.
And this remains the case till now, door won't respond to central locking, interior door handle slightly outwards. Still when I pull the internal door handle out, the door gets unlocked, but not opened. And I have to open it from the outside handle.
Has anyone experienced this problem before? Is there anything I can do myself?
Or I have to take it to the dealer? Does the warranty or Good will assistance cover this?
Many thanks for your help and prompt response.

Hello and welcome, it does look as though the electric lock motor has failed, if there is any warranty it will be covered

Few more questions...

I guess my warranty has expired as I have 2009 model.
Can the goodwill assistance cover this?
Also what can be the reason for the motor failure?
Can opening the door accidentally while unlocking it cause this failure?
Can this failure be repaired or the whole thing should be replaced?

Thanks again...

Yes please!

Yes please send me the info. I have just known today that doing this at the dealer will cost me more than $ 200.
