Legitimate protest or wanton criminal damage?

How long til I'm driving along in my C220CDI and some unwashed, bearded twonk tries to stop me going about my business?

How long til I'm driving along in my C220CDI and some unwashed, bearded twonk tries to stop me going about my business?

So they have entered a restricted area (trespass), stolen keys from cars (theft), are stopping the ship from unloading (unlawful detention), and wasting police time and taxpayers money, meanwhile elsewhere in the country someone who was eagerly awaiting their new pride and joy will have to wait for it because some eco warrior decided they can't have it and stole the keys.
I hope they jail the lot of them but I bet they don't.

If so they should be hanged at the yardarm of the nearest RN ship. As they're in Sheerness, the cruiser BELFAST is but a short trip up the Thames. I'm willing to bet that her crew would be willing.

(Yes, I know she's not in commission and yes, I know she's a museum now).

I wonder how they got to the port , possibly bus / car / train / van which were more than likely powered by a diesel engine

Maybe people buying newer models with stricter emission controls would get their older , more polluting , cars off the road.

I remember some years ago, in Brighton I think, tree huggers were travelling about in their VW camper vans and slashing tyres on such as Range Rovers because the Range Rovers were not environment friendly.

The only way this lot could validate their protests is to walk everywhere, and stop buying phones transported by ships and delivered by 40 ton wagons.

Nope, pirates were treated the same as deserters except without requirement of court martial. Run up the nearest yardarm as soon as the pirate ship had been taken and secured. No ceremony, just ten men on the other end of the rope running hard for ten paces.

Maybe peoples have realised that the hype spewed our way from those that purport to be saving our planet is just cr*p.

To scrap all the diesel motors in favour of replacing them with new electric cars would be worse for the planet. The gradual replacement of the diesels as they die of old age is far more environment friendly.
It won't generate the same tax revenues in the short term though.
