R230 Luggage Straps

I have a late 2003 R230 350SL which has the optional luggage straps. At some point, I will wish to upgrade to a newer model. The straps are important to me as I carry a small dog in a box which is secured by one of the straps. Can anyone advise to what model year these straps were offered? Thanks for any feedback.

I had them in my 2008(2009 model) SL500

The straps were standard fitment on SL's until, I think, 2006 when they became an option.
