I collected the Chimaera today, and just drove 170 miles in it. Quite intimidating at first, especially as every function is either not labelled or hidden- it took a while working where the fuel filler was (as it turns out, in the boot, hidden in a corner, and you need to turn off the immobiliser, turn the engine on quickly before said immobiliser reactivates, then open the boot with the engine running....not straight forward!). In typical TVR fashion, the drivers wing mirror came loose part way through the journey so changing lanes on the motorway was fun!!! The car is also distinctly mechanical; you can hear everything at work when on the move, which having come out of my cocooned Jag XF-S was an eye opener- new car, new noises and all that I suppose.Enjoy your Chimaera, I always fancied a TVR but never took the plunge. I guess its too late now.
However, 4 hours driving, I had a huge smile on my face for the second half of the journey- it goes like a bat out of hell but also cruises really nicely.
So fingers crossed I can sort out some of the niggles, but so far it's definitely putting a smile on my face.
