Hmm as you had no answers for the r230.
I have a CL500 in some respects they share Some similarities.

If I were you I would check EPC and get the part no for the speaker cover.
Then search google to see how the clips work.
On the CL500 you can pull the cover out at the bottom and then slide it down.

That would make sure you can hear if the cover itself is vibrating, and if not .. see what else could be a simple vibration.
This avoids taking off the door card ... imo a tricky job.
If the speaker is blown then I imagine they will come in a pod.
Ironically the speakers are relatively cheap to buy .... nkt surprisingly as they are sonically garbage!

What I would take care about is the bits of trim!
That naff plastic speaker cover trim in the pic costs a disgraceful £159 plus vat ... had to replace it as it was scuffed! On mine I was also warned if you break the handle link ... cheap plastic bowden connector ... the whole door handle catch has to be replaced at a horrendous cost £00s.
So do your investigations properly and be careful.

My MB dealer has a body shop ... and they work at Insurance approved rates so at £55 an hours I had them do it! ... and they obviously know all the tricks to get it off without damage.

Thanks submariner1 for your advise. My local MB dealer charges £127.00 +vat (£152.40) per hour so I think I'm going to have to put up with the buzz.

Try reducing the volume to that speaker with the balance and fader controls.

Feedback, turned out to be the left speaker so I faded it out. Not ideal but at least I can listen to the radio again.
