I bet. I'm up for work anywhere between 2.30 and 4 most mornings but sunday is the only day I get to have some kind of lie-in so I try and make the most of it!!
Hi there, I have recently replaced the ball joint in one of my front struts without too much of a problem and l feel it’s a better option than the resin injection although a bit more expensive. Also while I had the ball joint removed I took the opportunity to slip the shroud off and inspect the condition of the spring and to replace the rusty retaining clips securing the shroud. I found the strut to be dry but with a fair bit of dust around but it put my mind at rest before fitting a £120 ball ball joint to a strut that was less than perfect. It also gives you a chance to completely empty the strut of old fluid. I was about to do a flush anyway but still primed with new pentosin and then refitted.
By the way, there is a very nice black SL that parks opposite the Green Man in Stallingborough where I live. Just wondered if it was yours?
Hi Wizzman, that's not my one - I'm in Scartho. Mine's not very nice, it's got some paintwork needs doing on the front valance and the bonnet's a bit dull where the local cat has taken to sleeping on it (where's my air rifle - sorry animal lovers, only joking!), and big 20 inch wheels that I've never been that keen on.
Anyway I spoke to RH Services today and he's quoted me max £250 to do the ball joint swap (each side) so I'm just waiting to see when he can get me in.
