Race Chip?

HI, I've had a 2016 C43 for just over 2 years and the only thing letting it down is I could do with a bit more HP.
Has anyone fitted a Racechip to their C43?
For £600 and a claimed 67 extra HP and 123 Nm it sounds pretty good value.
Any comments woud be appreciated.

Where are you based???

I would take it to GAD or MSL, well known on here for tuning C63

As above. I'd rather use someone who knows the C63 engine inside out and MSL certainly have some experience.

Can only agree with the above. MSL won’t charge too much more for a remap & dyno session and you know if it can be done, they will do it reliably

It's a C43 but I daresay if they can sort the 63 they should be OK.
I am in Co Durham so Birmingham isn't a place I ever get to.
I used to take the Subarus to Revolution in Gateshead and was thinking about a rolling road test before and after fitting the race chip.
As the car is still under warranty I quite liked the idea of unplugging it for the next service.

well my 2p's worth , a mate has an 18 reg A45 AMG , recently fitted a tricolore box for the same reason as you ( removability ) the car wasn't happy at all , yes it was faster etc but the rev gauge bounced between gear changes when driven harder , took it off again and the car was fine

Yip knew that, that’s why I said MSL ‘should’, I’m not sure if they’ve done a 43 before but I’m guessing so.
3.0 twin turbo should work

If MSL do it they can remap the ECU with very little chance of being detected by MB during service. They’d have to interrogate the ECU specifically to find it. Even if they overwrite by accident it can be reinstated after as MSL keep the file

If you're Durham based then Big Fish Tuning at Stokesley is your man.

Vast experience with Mercedes and writes a lot of the files for MSL. And he has a dyno.

It amuses me that the C43 does not have enough power for you but then again my E350 can frighten me, that said there is plenty of good advice here so I wish you well in your search for more speed.

its not ALL about power , its about drivability / flexibility and more usable grunt in the rev range where it really matters , remaps do soooo much more than up the BHP
