I have a 1987 Mercedes 250 diesel [MO 602] 5 cylinder engine, which currently and randomly will not start on initial fire up. Continuous battery draining rotation eventually achieves success, so far.
Suspected air-lock or water in fuel. [Crossed fingers on this continuous rotation bit. So far it has worked; but have worries for any journey]
There is a diesel weep from No 3 injector seating which may be causing an air lock.
This engine apparently requires a specialist Mercedes deep socket tool to fit a 19 mm OD serrated nut with approx. 30 teeth [? 1.8 mm pitch ?]
Can anyone advise or provide access to this tool?
Meanwhile - Any other ideas?
