rear speakers in 1988 230TE.

Anyone got any ideas where to put rear speakers in my 1988 230TE, there doesn,t seem to be enough depth in the doors...could i put some slim ones in the roof??

I have wondered the same thing, i saw some in the  rear door at the April GTG, but they had been fitted so low down,  as to be almost obscurred by the rear seat base.

I have had the tailgate trim off, and there is acres of room in there, which would allow for some sizeable speakers to be fitted, only problem there is that the wiring would be a bit of a git to make a half decent job of it, with that in mind i haven't pursued the project any further.
