Reflection

Hi guys. Just noticed that my drivers side air vent (silver) reflects in my side mirror caused me to **** myself when overtaking on motorway thinking there was another car alongside. Any ideas perhaps take them out and paint them Matt black or buy black replacements

Update. Dealer says they are all silver. I thought they were colour coded to match interior

I would have thought if they are all silver surely it’s just not me who has this issue

Is it the angle your head is at relative? Are you especially tall or short (or sit with your napper to one side...)?

not exceptionally tall 6ft 2in think my head is straight not noticed a list lol.
I'm just saying there must be more ppl than me noticed this issue.

How does the drivers air vent reflect in the side mirror?
Are you sure it's not reflected by the drivers door window glass?

ok its reflecting in the side window, right in line with my vision of the offside mirror reflective surface ie the glass.
even when I travel along a road with streetlights at night there is an intermittent reflection of the air vent on the window

Happens also with the straight piece of the mount to the door mirror- lovely shiny black plastic which reflects the roads white lines and any lights behind you!
Forgot about this until you mentioned it and I’ve had it in both my 212s.....
I might get a piece of anti glare screen saver tape and stick it on
