I have a W205 C220 bluetec sport 170 bhp and thinking about a remap. Will this have any adverse effects on engine and transmission components and reduce there life any advice would be appreciated?

Powertrains are usually designed with a 20% overstress built in. So you could take yours to 204bhp without suffering.

Tuners on here can post about specific instances but that’s the general rule for Daimler powertrains.

in my experience ( over 20 cars mapped now ) the only component thats is likely to suffer is the clutch but only if your car is a manual box ?? obvs if you drive it like you stole it all the time something is going to give but that would be the same on a standard engine imo , the benefits far outweigh the risks
