Anyone tried replacement air filters on their 4.0L?
Appears only available in the good old USA for about 350 USD delivered which is a bit steep for an experiment. Thus any real time experiences welcomed

Looks like I'd be the guinea pig! I'm mostly concerned about any resulting change in 'engine breathing' characteristics - ie. would it result in stoopid rice boy sucking and blowing noises? That's just not my bag (any more). So, if anyone has replaced filters on their [any model] AMG car then I'd be grateful for any views ta.

I think MSL in Birmingham are using UPD filters in their W213 E63s. It might be worth trying to check with them.

The inlets are heavily damped, as its unlikely you will hear more induction noises etc as well.

UPD are the way to go with these.

ive had panel filters on most of my higher performance engine cars , never alters the intake noise unlike a cone filter of course
