I have worn yellowish headlights on my 2004 E320 and have spotted aftermarket replacement lenses on eBay. Anyone tried to fit these before? IMG_2258.JPG

Afraid not Scott, looks cheap enough to take a chance though!

I think their more a cover to go over the existing lens rather than a replacement, IIRC the lens is bonded to the housing of the light unit which is why most of us prefer to polish the existing lenses and then apply a UV coat to protect them in the future

Found another listing for the same item and it says they replace the existing lens. Looks like a good solution to yellowed lenses to me.

well that's certainty interesting then and if true it's a good buy, I'd want to double check there isn't a difference with pre and post facelift lenses but I'd be surprised if there were.

I would be concerned about achieving a good seal otherwise frosting of the lens will occur in cold/wet weather.
The material as far as i know is crystal styrene and as we all know if your car lives outside then the material "yellows", i have a mk4 Supra and the E-Class, i just clean off the yellowing with 800's then 1200's wet&dry, then buff them with the white sponge buffer pad, then apply a polish, then 3 coats of acrylic laquer, they come up like knew, lasts for 2 years ish, it takes about 2 hours to carry out the job. Herbie.
