Hi all, I've just noticed that my coolant tank is leaking at the seam on my W639 Viano. So I have ordered a new one. Anyone got any advice regarding whether its an easy job or best left to a pro? Would I need to flush the system or is it a case of just disconnecting and connecting the hoses? Any advice appreciated.

Not done a Vito but it should be just a remove, refit and top up.

My previous W212 E63 coolant tank sprang a leak, although it was difficult to spot until the engine came up to temperature .
I was attending a GTG at BOTG the following day so got my local indy to order and change the tank.

Provided you have a bit of work room its just a matter of clamping the hoses, removing the old tank and refitting the new one and filling up again.
If there's a chance of an air lock, run the car for 10 mins or so with the radiator cap off to expel any air bubbles.
