Hey guys I wanna replace The old factory stereo in my merc w203 space with one from Ebay like a normal 2 din Bluetooth one would it just be a case of swapping them over or does the stereo have to be screwed in to work as all images I see have the screw holes on it??,

    Thanks.

There are units designed specifically for the w203. Try searching on ebay for 'w203 android head unit'.
They should integrate quite well with steering controls etc.

You can also get the model specific trims to ensure a good fit

So if I get the right trim ie a universal 2din frame for my new stereo will it fit regardless apart from it having to match the same frame size as the din??

Look on www.caraudiodirect.co.uk, they do all the fascia adapters and leads you will need

When I changed from Audio10 (DIN 1.0) to COMAND (DIN 2.0) I didn't need to change any trim.
If the unit is a W203 specific item you should just be able to remove the single DIN item and storage tray and fit the double DIN unit. I assume they will come with wiring adapters but check.
You will only need a facia if fitting a standard double DIN unit e.g. the rectangle type.

Ok it dose seem that almost any 6.1 - 7inch will fit the area dose it just depend on that you have to get a specific one that fits it or can get a din frame that matches the radio shape??

I think the specific ones will not only fit but also be easier to install/integrate with the existing cables and antennas.

Yeah. Most are CANBUS compatible now. As long as you don't have the optical amps (MOST) then it is straightforward.
You'll likely also require a GPS antenna which are £10ish and can be slid in under the grill on top of the dash.
Also consider that most of the earlier ones were underpowered and lacked RAM so are almost unusable now so it might be a false economy buying a low cost item if it isn't well specced.
