Hi all,

My 14 plate e250d auto (20k miles) has been suffering with a vibration through the transmission when the engine come under load. Like when your coasting and then start to accelerate. You can feel it through the floor and drivers seat.
Had its service a couple of weeks ago and I told them about it. When I picked it up they said they updated the gearbox software. Next couple of weeks its great no vibration like a different car. Last couple of days it's back again.
Obviously I'll get it back to dealer but has anyone else had this and had it resolved. My warrantie runs out end of October so little bit concerned.

Thanks

pre electronics i would have said get the car on a lift and check the drive line from rear of gearbox thru to axle. and if? it has a centre joint have a good look at the security of that. post electronics i cant imagine and how a software update would fix it is almost beyond me, will watch this to se actual cause if found

Once you report a fault they have to fix it irrespective of whether the warranty expires in the interim.
