Roof problems 1999 slk r170

Roof working fine until a few days ago, then windows go down boot lid opens.....then nothing...you can hear the motor running, but top will not move.
Have checked fluid level... OK... boot lock ..OK, disconnected battery waited 5 minutes..no go..
Could this be a micro switch problem ? Has anyone any ideas??

Have you tried with the Allen key in it to see what's working or not

Ours gets stuck (lack of use)

Thank you for the info.....I tried the alien key and now the roof works fine.....I will drop the top more often to get the mechanism well oiled.......Merci Keith
