IMG_1275.JPG i noticed the half moon fillet that surrounds the rear wiper drive spindle has rusted so much its crumbling away.

Is this a replaceable part or will I need a new rear screen?

Nasty Craig!
I don't know for sure but I suspect with MB it'll be the complete screen.
Be tempted to stick some rust cure on then some black paint if it's not too bad
If it is crumbling badly then have a mooch round some breakers

It's a removable part but very well bonded to the rear screen, I looked at doing on my 211 but never got round to it, iirc the rear screen wiper is also a complete pig to remove

Just treat it for rust and try and find something to stick on top.

Thanks for the responses chaps.

Next question. What does that fillet do? Is it just a trim part?

And... can anyone help me with the part no for it please?

I had that bit replaced on the back on my 211, Colin did it, I cant remember where he got it or how he did it (so not much help) but hopefully he'll be along to respond :)
