2012 s350 bluetec , I have a small coolant loss and no idea where its going so I set to to take a look at the water pump and check the belt while I'm in there, got as far as removing the plastic cover at the front of the engine and took out the 2 torx bolts at the top but the cover will not come off, it looks like it just locates in a push fit socket down below but much pulling upwards didn't work, has anyone actually replaced the belt on this engine? I can't even see it

The engine cover normally just pulls off without the need to undo any bolts.

The cover I can't get off is at the front of the 2012 V6 diesel engine, the non bluetec engine didn't have it and the belt was easy to see

Smart + others :)
Remove the torx bolts and the shield just pull up, can be very tight in lower grommet, lube helps.

Thanks that's what I was doing but didn't want to break it if it was wrong, I'll give it another go.
