Hello
I have a strange thing with my driver seat. It is electrically adjustable, i already knew that, it works and iam glad. But a few days ago, i've discovered some sort of plug coming out of the bottom of the seat, with rubber tubes and these kind of things. It is not connected, and i couldnt find any plug hole, to plug the thing in. I was wondering what could that be, and than i realized, that my car might have had adjustable air cushions in the seat. (Well the air cushions still might be in it, but i cant find no compressor, nothing) Can anyone tell me, where to search for the part to plug this in? And also, there must have been a controll unit, where the driver could adjust the seats cushions. Well thats not in the car neither. My car is a 124 from 87, with every optional extras that were available in 87, so theres a chance, that a previous owner sold the compressor, and the controller for the seat.
Thanks

If you put your VIN No. into the attached link http://www.mbclub.ru/mb/vin/?lng=eng it should list the original specification. I know that the 210 series had multi contour seats as an option. The controller sits between the seat and the transmission tunnel. I don't know if it was available on the 124 series.

Thanks Blobcat

According to the site my car had this:
orthopaedic front seat backrest (multiple contour backrest in model 140), left (с 01.04.1970 по 31.12.1995)
But theres no controller, just a plug and tubes hanging loose.
Where should be the plug plugged in?

You already have a vacuam pump in the car, it is not straight forward, Your only chance would be to find a breaker, the control units are all of the same for cars of the same year span. you cold take the bits from a 107,123 124 ,201 and 140.

The w124 had orthopaedic seats as an option. They had air bladders in the back rest. The controller had two dials and was on the inboard edge of the squab

Does anyone have a w124 with this kind of seat, and willing to make a picture of the controller, and the wire that needs to be pluged in? If someone could send me that photo, or a manual for the w124 where there's a description about these kind of seats... i'd be happy... really happy.
Bytheway does anyone know is theres a downloadable manual for this car? (bytheway its a 300 TD)
