Blazing hot sun, ideal conditions for a spin in the SL320 (R129), except that the dreaded clicking seatbelt solenoids are kicking off again, it's that time of year :-(

Having eliminated the possibility of any dry solder joints in the controller with the help of Mr Television last October, I am now trying to establish the root cause.

My question is, just how rattly should the roof control module be when picked up and moved around ? Mine's a late model with controller number 129 820 39 26. I took the base off mine today and the little module inside (see photo) appears to have a ball or something moving as the unit tilts.

It behaves perfectly when it's less than 20 degrees outside, and only mis-behaves when it gets warm.

Is the tilt module replaceable / repairable ?
