Separating coolant and oil

Hi all

I used my Pela oil sucker as part of the ridiculous bleeding procedure on the S class. It invovles moving 20liters of coolant through the system to get rid of air.

I am now left with a bucket of new coolant with a film of oil on the top.

Any thoughts on the easiest way to separate it?

Could you syphon the oil off the top?

I night try and use the sucker again to pull it off the top.

I had thoughts of trying to suck it from the bottom but removing the oil seems easier.

I'd float a few tissues on top, then remove.

Yes, although om613's method is probably better, as its only a slight film of oil on top and not a 50/50 mix or anything like that.

Kitchen Roll that stronger stuff .
There will be very little oil and it probably won't do any harm reused as is.

Used some tissue and the sucker to get most of the oil out, now safely in bottles. Much better! Thanks
