E350 coupe sport - 2010
Hi guys, I have a E350 couple 2011 just had a B service and have noticed that car is just not as responsive, feels like the power is gone, first thing I noticed straightaway was the kick down button didn’t work. Also pulling off is ok but soon as it got to 30-40 felt like no power.

And when I slow down like parking lot speed it would shudder slightly before stopping but doesn’t always happen

Any ideas? Hoping it’s not the turbo

you need a scan , im experiencing the same problems with my cls 3.0 v6 diesel . my error code points to under boost , it can be numerous things from sticky turbo veins ,a failed swirl flap motor a failed egr , a failed exhaust back pressure switch , a failed turbo actuator . a failed maf or map sensor . i have mine booked into mb on thursday £85 for a scan , but they want the car for a full day , so hopefully they might fix it at the same time at a cost ££££££££££££££ .....

Thanks. I will go to my local merc specialist today, and see what they say!

Not looking forward to the cost! :-(

Hoping it’s something minor

I would start by suggesting that whoever just serviced it correct what they have done to it ?

You can't ,but a decent trustworthy garage who just worked on it would consider the possibility that they may have done something

So on the way back from work. Car seems to be completely normal. Power is there and even the kickdown button works. Anyways got to garage and he stuck the star in and no faults and gearbox also no faults

So I guess all I can do is wait for it to happen again. It’s odd it didn’t catch any code

I wonder if the change in air filter was sufficient to create a bigger change in airflow than the adaptations could handle.

yes m8 . a failed exhaust back pressure switch £49 at the stealers.

i can confirm part number a0091535028 should see around 981 mbar at tick over , my sensor was telling me 4454 mbar and making the car go into limp mode and kangerooing. £49 sorted . thank the lord . !!!! no turbo needed.

common fault by all accounts.

Glad it’s not an expensive fix. I am still waiting for mine to re-occur. Hopefully it doesn’t

My issues come back. Back to garage today. But last time it didn’t show any codes.

Hoping it’s nothing major :-(

Happened to me twice.
All I did is cleaned the egr valve and inlet manifold. Sometimes egr is stuck in one position. As the electric motor of egr works fine it will not bring the fault on. Every year I spend couple of hours cleaning that (even though it’s not badly clogged). Just be aware of coolant pipes and fluid going trough egr and that’s it. Hope the issue is the same!

The garage told me it may be the brabus chip I have on the car. So they plan to remove it to hopefully resolve the error
