just to update and finish off this thread - Turned out that the pistons were the alloy composite type - Indy confirmed that the pistons were slightly out of shape and thus the reason why they would not release freely. Replaced with new callipers from MB £125 each - Quoted £145 for Refurbished ones?

I forgot to add...... I broke all my Torx Bits trying to remove the rear callipers and then on one of the front disks. Trip down to Halfords where I bought their set with lifetime guarantee. Happy to so they did the trick. The problem appears to be, that the Torx Bits only go in a little bit, so the purchase is on a small area at the tip of the torx bit, hence they break easily. (hope that makes sense) The set I had initially would probably have, and has done about 95% of the jobs needing done, but for this particular job, they were simply not up to the task.
