SL500 front grille replacement

I need to replace the front grille on my 2004 SL500 as the one I have is broken in a couple of places. I have decided to go with a replacement part not OEM but I can not decide on whether to get the grille in matt black, gloss black or chrome. All the grilles are the same price and will come from an ebay seller based in Germany.

Gloss back with just a chrome star is what I was leaning towards, decisions, decisions........

That is nice. This is the chrome version, the gloss black version has only chrome on the star.

Whichever non OEM part you use remember to tell your insurers - it counts as a modification. My insurer cancelled my policy after I made this change - never able to get any meaningful explanation as to why.

The one in my above pic was replaced, as the distronic cover was crazed (couldn't get the cover itself), I think the replacement was £160 ish IIRC from MB
