Yup! Not quite the classy MB colour that silver is but I like red!

Fire Opal Red can have a lot of issues with micro blisters in the paint. Not sure how far back the issues go.
To be honest I'm not a fan of red for R230 SLs anyway...
Also that one doesn't look to have Distronic? In fact neither do?

Out of the three cars, the 55plate ones look the bee's, certainly has the up graded Nav which is better than mine.
    Nice price too!
Love the red one, nice to see a different colour other than black or silver, though it would be too different for me.

The downside to the 55 plate is no Aux socket. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to listen to music on it? (I usually plug in my phone to my BMW) and google maps is the best nav app since it has live traffic.

Is it possible to get new stereos fitted? I see that Tavarish did that but it looked complex. I couldn't find anybody in the UK who offer that service,

Comandonline do it, they are a forum sponsor and could possibly sort out the aux problem

Whichever car you go for definitely check the MOT history online. You can do it for free and it gives you all the past MOT dates and mileages for free. It's a DVLA service. Also, in case you're worried about the mileage being correct, ask if you can have a Mercedes dealer or indy with a STAR verify it for you. The true mileage is stored in a number of places, accessed by STAR, including the ignition system and can't be tampered with, unlike the odometer. If the seller won't do that walk away...

Sorry to butt in on this thread, but what are the values like on CLK55's as a comparison? I have a well spec'd designo model with later brakes and command etc 105k on the clock but fantastic condition with no faults. I'm not sure what to price it at if I try to sell.

Try what the chap who was found a few weeks ago with his SL55 did. Start at £105k.

I would say somewhere around £7-8k. Had it been somewhere at around 70k miles I would have suggested £10k

Something looks off about this one. The interior looks a bit tatty for 73k miles (mine is like new at 93k), and why does it only have rear park sensors? Was rear only parktronic an option? Was parktronic even optional on the '55?

Rear only Parktronic I’ve never heard of. I don’t think it was optional in the V8 and V12 cars either.

Parktronic was a £590 option on the SL55 and included front and rear sensors. I would think the one with only rear sensors has had a replacement front bumper and they couldnt get one with the sensors installed.

All the SL55's linked so far are missing the wind deflector which is expensive to replace but in my opinion is an essential piece of kit.

Yes it looks like it has the display on the dash but no sensors.

Those rear sensors are aftermarket ones.
