2002 SL500, 216 CL500, all fully loaded
And they were all the old engined cars, the new ones are much quicker, with more power too.

nice one hawk.

just aside hawk, wander if you can help me. can you control the telephone on your w220 through the streering wheel/dash, ie do the callers names show up in the dash.

i thought i would do some reading of my manual last evening and in there, this is the case but in the car on the dash it says "not available" (re telephone) although the phone is plugged in and works fine otherwise to recieve a call etc with hands free pre wired its a nokia 6210.

YES mine does show the names in the instrument binnacle. BUT....ahhhhhhhhhh you have to select TELEPHONE on the steering wheel (scroll through the pages) as well as on Command.

This means your passenger can do the phonme completely from Command and the other buttons in the middle, OR you can do as the driver by calling it up via the wheel. Hope that helps.

As for Malcolm's point, why do Merc keep changing their engines so often? And is the power gain significant in terms of performance?

the cars in your clip are no doubltedly immense engines, that can not be questioned.

you ask why do merc keep changing them. Come on this is Mercedes the pioneers and innovators of engineering perfection - IMHO

why do we drive w220's?
then again i love my w124 as much - although its bog standard next to the s, just amazingly refined cars
