Straight through the MoT
However this was brought to my attention as there were signs of a very clean oily substance on the plastic cap



Bit hard to see and trying to trace its origin was even harder

Once home I removed the under garments and it looks like the air conditioning pipe has been seeping over time?



I couldn't find any other signs of any leaks so assume this is where it was coming from, and I now think it could have been water splash mixed with the sludge from this pipe. I cleaned it up as best as possible and refitted the trays :???:

There is a pipe on the air con that can crack and flex as you drive , Merc have revised the pipe but didn't do a recall for it ... happened to me and took them ages to find the fault and fix it..

That will explain while the air con didn't last that long after the regas in August. Many thanks for pointing that out Gordon

Decided that I couldn't gone on looking at this



So have the car booked in on Monday



To have the complete N/S done



The Missus is looking forward to driving the 55 while her car is being sorted

Typical, cars ready and by the time I got to the body shop it was raining cats and dogs
Another quick wash and dry it is looking much more respectable

Jasper Blue, didn't seem to offer the colour for long. It was one of the main reasons we were interested in this particular car

Jasper blue was also known as orion blue and was available from 2001 to 2008. Very nice colour.
