SLK200 2010 model displays Kms

Mercedes tell my wife, that her recently purchased SLK200, which has a UK Mph speedo, but a digital Kms display, cannot be changed.
Has anyone found a technique to change the didgital display to show MPH?.

The reason for this is because legislation says manufactures have to show both mph and kph on the dash, most car manufacturers do this by having both on the speedometer but for some weird reason MB don't, so you have a digital kph display instead.

I do not think that cars after 2006 can be changed.

You can scroll down the menu buttons to show speed in MPH in the main display screen, as opposed to the odometer, trip computer etc. But I think that's the only option.

Otherwise I think you're stuck with the secondary reading in km/h.
