Need to know as I just upgraded the domestic Karcher to a Pro model. Minimal price difference in the m/c (after huge discount), but the accessories are an arm and a leg. :(:(
Eg foam lance £104! Discounted to £86. OK the lance is stainless v plastic.

My question is, when using a domestic Karcher machine and a snow foam lance ... do you have to reduce the water pressure to make the foam right? Or can one run at full pressure and just adjust the concentration.

Need to know as the domestic ones are £14, BUT with the commercial washer one can't reduce the pressure, it just bangs out 130 Bar!

(OK, one can actually adjust the pressure ... but this is done by changing nozzle sizes for the specific application.)
So say, if you are using the in built detergent tank, you actually reduce the pressure on the std. lance
Naturally I assume their expensive Foam lance does this automatically.

When using your snow foam ... do you run it at full power?
If you do, then there is a good chance the budget ones will work with this unadjustable machine.

I do everything on full power.

Your use of the word “budget” is a little crass...

I got my lance from Morethanpolish IIRC about £45, brass too. It’s very good.
My Karcher is only on or off/intensity is controlled from the lance itself which of course is not attached to the snow foam lance/tank.
It doesn’t need much pressure to spray over and you probably wouldn’t;t want to!

I bought a Gilmore foam gun that works off just a garden hose. It applies snow foam better than anything. They used to be expensive but there are a few reproductions that do the job. I find it quicker than dragging out the power washer

Thanks guys, looks promising in that you can use full power, i.e. wont need to buy their over my budget foam lance.

Imo one doesnt really want hi power , but high l/h throughput is more in tune with washing cars.
Liked thos washer as its 600L/h and ai guess the higher Bar of 130 might help with the white sandstone patio that is a pig to mantain.

£14.50 instead of £104 seems like budget is a good descriptive.
Crass??

Sometimes well built budget stuff can be jolly good VFM imo :)

Any recomendations on a Ph Neutral Snow Foam that Does Not strip off Collinite Wax?

I heard BH Auto Foam was good but that turns out to be Ph 13 ... guess that would eat the wax layer??

Really looking for a snow foam, that helps rinse of grit on a weekly basis but doesnt wear off the wax much.

Alternativly is it better for the wax protection to last, by Karcheringit ; and then washing with a weak solution of Autoglyms PH Neutral Body-shampoo?

I dont relish re- claying, polishing and then waxi g too soon. :)

I've been using the Autoglymn High Definition Shampoo recently it's a fairly new product. Even in my low pressure Gilmore foam gun it produces a very thick foam can't fault it although it is quite expensive it goes a long way. Bit like the Swissvax Leather Milk dinky bottle loads of money but better than anything else I've tried.

Used to have a C63...
Not been able to fault DemonShine Snowfoam as a good presoak, and it doesn't seem to be detrimental to the Poorboys / Sonax combo on the car.

For slightly more upmarket juice, try the various valeting goods website like cleanmycar.thingy

I have used the karcher snow foam lance and it's ok but not brilliant.

I have a similar one to above (might be meguiars or similar) and it works much better, always on full beans

Thanks that looks really nicely built
And it looks like it has an M22 adapter ( i can get an Easylock ( Karchers new 2017 Commercil system) to Female M22 x1.5 thread adapter :):)
Hopefully its a 1.5 pitch ? :)

Like the sound of this, as its Ph Neutral.
Always used the std. AG Body Shampoo, this could be a good prewash in the foam lance.
Any idea how many cars one could foam with 1 L?
