Sports vs Eco mode?

Hi All,
I have a recent purchase, a '63 E350 Coupe - I love it and all the more so for its recent remap at GAD, my question is what, apart from the higher rev auto changes, is changed by selecting the S mode vs the Eco standard setting?

Thorttle response is much better. Do not need to press as far down to get a result. Shifts seem faster as well as being kept at the right revs to make the most of it.

Not sure exactly but Eco mode is very lazy, sport mode drops the gear and holds on longer or seems to.

As Mr Filipov says really, sport is my preferred driving mode unless I am driving to town/city (very rare)

Moves almost immediately out of first- as others have said it's also lower revving keeping the changes lazy.
I use it 'sometimes' on the motorway when I'm not in any particular hurry. The 63 in Comfort/Eco mode is quicker and sprightlier than most cars around me anyway

In some cars (129s for example) it locks out 1st gear completely (unless manually selected), changes up earlier and at lower throttle openings, slurs the change more and can deaden throttle response. Its good for long distance cruising.
