Can any one tell me where I can lay my hands on a instruction manual for this particular make & model of Carb?? .
The basic principle of the carb is quite simple, however its the bolt on electrics that are giving me some problems. Do "Stromberg " have a Web site?.
"Stomberg 175CDT SIDE DROUGHT"

presumably,this carb you mention is fitted on the earlyW123 series mercs.

there is good coverage of this carb in the following manual;;

MERCEDES W123-1976-1986 OWNERS WORKSHOP MANUAL-PUBLISHED BY TECHNIBOOKS
JANUS PUBLISHING.
CHECK THE website chaters.co.uk=do a power search-once on the search page, enter the following number in the ISBN section of the search 0-620-16443-3-the book is available at £19.95-the info you need is in chapter 6-the fuel system-hope this helps.

Thanks "sunil" for your info , I checked out the site as per your advice ,however my car is a 1988 -124-200 & the carb is of Pierburg manufacture "embossed on casing" but is also stamped 175CDT & is identical in principle & design to the Stromberg 175CDT .confused? I am!
I located the book on the Chaters site but was unable to find a way of checking the CONTENTS eg( the fuel system) to see if similar to mine.
