I have installed the europe Version.
Had to buy both the comand and the amplifyer. A lot of rewiring had to be done. Works fine, but Bluetooth/phone is no longer available. Did also ad DAB and AUX.
Total cost about € 3000
Best regards
Frode

NTG3 doesn't support Bluetooth telephony

the BT feature you may have had in the menus is I believe an optional extra and its not for phone to car BT telephony....
it was only for BT dumb handset to connect to the phone plugged in the armrest.... the wireless handset in the rear arm rest connects to the UHI socket in the front, via BT, I have the device in my car

856 PHONE HANDSET IN REAR ARMREST

Hello, @Frode Storkaas

The car was fitted With an European command unit, and amplifyer yesterday.
They did a lot of wiring, and removed the video player, radar warner +++.
Hope they are able to set the car up With the Star program. Will know on monday.
Best regards

Frode

Hope all the new posters on here realise there's a 30 post limit before you can use PM's (now called Conversations, same thing, you can't start or receive one), so those of you with only a few messages cannot send or receive PM's!

Hello, i need help please, i have a S 350 Year 2006 Japan Version, equipped with a Command NTG 3 without HK/ Logic7 .
The car is in Paraguay, South America, the Radio frequencys are the same like in ECE and USA.
How i can programm the ECE / USA frequencys into the NTG3 ?
Is the a aftermarket solution for this issue?
Thanks a lot.

you can't just programme it

yes there is an android system, no idea on quality.... and you still have lots of fun moving from Japan loom to the android unit. But its been done

re "the simple conversion from Japan to Europe set up"... check the photos in the post above

5 extra multi plugs and 2 more fakra connectors joining up goodness know what they fit in a japan spec car

whilst the post above saying they did it is good news, I'm sure is was a lot more than 40 hours of research and at least another 25 hrs of doing the mods once they understood which wires to join...

this is a job for an expert with both sets of wiring diagrams, lots of spare wires and a great terminal tool alongside connectors I have not been able to find in the RS catalogue, plus a copy of the main dealer programming tools AND lots of experience and lots and lots of patience

android on to a std car

And there you have your answer!
Its simply not worth importing a Japanese model in the hope of saving a few quid. Unless you are particularly attached to the car!

its not worth it at all. I very briefly looked at getting a japanese R class a few years ago.
Once I researched and seen what was involved with amps, tuners, frequencies, wiring, antennas. I binned the idea.

if I was in your shoes get a Kenwood, pioneer, android system and even then hope for the best.
